The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is a very expansive game with many systems, mechanics and puzzles that some players may have difficulties in understanding or completing parts and parcels of them. Here we try to come up with a comprehensive one-stop shop for three aspects of the game.
If you missed out first one, check it out here.
Zerrikanian Saddlebag Guide
A Zerrikanian Saddlebag is the best item bag since Geralt has a weight limit allowing him to carry only certain items. Having one of these bags allows players to carry +100 weight.
One of the main quest lines for Triss will give players the opportunity to get one. These Saddlebags can be bought from Putrid Grove merchant in Novigrad for 986 crowns. Players can then upgrade it from the Sword Smith in Skellige which is around the area of the Brigde to Kaer Trolde.
Cat School Gear Scavenger Hunt Guide
This quest can be taken by level 15 players, although level 17 is recommended. Head over to Est Tayiar on Valen's eastern side. Find the Cat School notes hidden in the ruins. Players may also visit the area during one of the secondary quests for Radovid. Completing this quest will give players the Feline Silver Sword.
Travel to Castle Drahim; use the Aard Sign to break through the castle doors and head to the basement. Take all the items, as well as the Feline Steel diagram and the journal.
Go to the wreck of the Flying Stag; look for the hole in the ship and head down to find the gear diagram for the Feline Crossbow and the Mage's Notes.
Travel back to Novigrad and head to the northern part of the map. Look for the fast travel marker Elector's Square. Next, look behind the houses lying along the coast for a hidden path that leads to Temple Isle. Follow the path; use the Eye to dispel an illusion and enter the cave.
Either fight the golem or run to the right side of the room and use Aard to blast through a weak section of the wall. Go through the tunnel all the way through, and kill the Wraith in hiding. Pick up the Invoice For A Golem before heading back out.
From the room with the golem, head to the left hand side to find a second tunnel. It will lead to a square-shaped room with a few statues and levers. Solve the puzzle by getting all the statues to face the middle of the room. Dive into the center part of the room which will open up, then attack the three Drowners with the crossbow. Go all the way down and collect the Key To The Laboratory.
Head back to the room with the golem; go straight and use the key on the locked door. Save the game then go through the door and fight the possessed witcher in the next room. Use the Quen Sign, parry his attacks, dodge accordingly, and strike whenever there is an opening. Loot his body to claim the reward: the gear diagrams for the Feline Trousers, Feline Boots, Feline Armor, and Feline Gauntlets.
Earth Elemental Boss Guide
The Earth Elemental is the third major boss in The Witcher 3. Level 15 is recommended here. Have some Thunderbolt Potions and equip the Quen Sign before the fight.
Once Geralt reachs Skellige and meets up with Yennefer, she will suggest acquiring a certain item from Ermion's laboratory. A trap within it summons an Earth Elemental. Yennefer will also fight it.
Consume a Thunderbolt Potion and cast Quen. Keep dodging the Earth Elemental's slow attacks, and watch out for its ground pound attack as it will cause damage by standing near it. Its area of effect isn't wide; dodge or roll backwards to get out of harm's way.
Deal just the right amount of damage and keep dodging. Feel free to use Yennefer as a distraction and try to attack from the mosnter's rear.
Be sure to loot the corpse, and The Witcher 3's infamous stuffed unicorn romance scene will follow.
