Popular social media sites are abuzz with news about a possible Sylvester Stallone, Salman Khan film. Is it in the works? If Sylvester Stallone ("The Expendables") and the Indian star of several high-grossing films Salman Khan get their wish, the combined fan base of the two actors may turn in a box-office haul.
The idea of the two bankable actors coming together in a single film project resulted from the exchange of praises between the two stars. Salman Khan, who started his film career via the family drama "Biwi Ho To Aisi," had openly expressed his admiration for his "role model" and hero Sylvester Stallone and urged his many fans through Twitter to follow the "Rocky" star.
Syl Stallone acknowledged the compliment, and went on to suggest a possible team-up in "The Expendables" sequel. Sly also mentioned that he was impressed with Salman's devoted followers. Fans of both actors are now awaiting with bated breath the follow-through for an action flick featuring one of Hollywood's icons and Bollywood's pride. The ball, so to speak, is in the producer's court.
Sylvester Stallone's onscreen and offscreen personas in more than one instance have involved teaming up with somebody tough. Looks like he has found a really well-liked and competent actor to work with in a future film. Avid movie watchers will most likely want to check out the interesting duo. Besides "The Expendables" movies, Sylvester Stallone has also been recently seen in "Escape Plan" with Arnold Schwarzenneger. Salman will next be seen in the action and romantic drama movie, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan."
One of the questions that have cropped up on film watchers' minds is whether Salman will play a new recruit in the next Expendables installment, or if he'll be given a 'special' role. The other question is whether the project will be a Hollywood venture or a Bollywood offering.
It'll be interesting to how things will play out with a seasoned actor approaching his 'sunset years' and another at the zenith of his career - in one movie.
