George RR Martin recently revealed that he will be reading a chapter from his highly-anticipated sixth book, "The Winds of Winter" from the series, "A Song of Ice and Fire" at the 2015 ConQuest in Kansas. George RR Martin's sixth book, "The Winds of Winter" is probably one of the most-anticipated sequels to come out following the release of his fifth book, "A Dance with Dragons" in 2011. Martin is pretty much known for his slow writing pace and fans are already dreading to get their hands on a copy of his sixth book before the HBO series, "Game of Thrones" spoils it all for the readers.
Martin previously revealed that he has already cancelled his appearances for two conventions and he has turned down several interviews to focus his time and attention into finishing "The Winds of Winter." The 66-year-old author also expressed hope into releasing the sixth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series before "Game of Thrones" airs its sixth season.
Now, Martin has revealed that he will be reading a chapter from "The Winds of Winter" during the Conquest 46 held in Kansas City, Missouri on Memorial Day Weekend from May 22 - 24, Winter is Coming reported. The outlet cited that Martin will serve as the Editor Guest of Honor during the event.
Martin, however, did not reveal whether or not he will be reading a new chapter from the "Winds of Winter" or if he will be reading previously released excerpts from his sixth book, including the recently released chapter about Sansa titled, "Alayne."
Aside from reading a chapter from "The Winds of Winter," the author also revealed that he will be talking about "Ice and Fire" during the event, but he emphasized that his appearance for the event is on his editing for the "Wild Cards" series.
