Another Minecraft security patch to update the massively popular game to version 1.8.5 has been released by developer Mojang.
The last Minecraft security update launched a month ago has brought the game to version 1.8.4 which was made to address vulnerability issues found that allowed users to remotely crash servers.
This latest update remedies the known security issues together with bug fixes like beacon effects, better server validation for movement packets and more, VG24/7 wrote.
Mojang said that the Minecraft patch 1.8.5 is totally compatible with all previous versions of 1.8 and fans are advised to update to version 1.8.5 as soon as possible.

[Bug MC-79632] - Phantom Custom Player in Scoreboard / UUIDs of non-player entities on scoreboards truncated after relog

[Bug MC-80480] - Certain attribute values are not bound
