Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain On Track for September 1st Global Release: Konami Reveals Sequel In the Works Even Without Hideo Kojima

By

Despite controversial issues between Konami and Hideo Kojima, the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain release date is very much right on track where it is scheduled to be launched on Sept. 1.

While Kojima will not be doing any games with Konami anymore and is expected to leave after the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in September, reports say that he is still very much involved in it.

It is still consistent with the previous reports and Kojima's assurance that he will still be fully involved with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain despite the issues between Konami and him.

"I want to reassure fans that I am 100 percent involved and will continue working on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; I'm determined to make it the greatest game I've directed to date. Don't miss it!" said Kojima.

If you remember, just hours after the report on Kojima's strained relationship with Konami, the publisher announced that it had started an early production on the sequel and also said that they were already looking for new people to work for the follow-up game.

On Thursday last week, the Australian Rating board has reportedly gave Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain an "R18+ Restricted" rating due to High Impact Themes and Violence, Online Interactivity. It is said that rating board also said that the game has mild nudity and moderate sexual themes.

The R18+ rating means that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will only be available to players who are above the age of 18 in Australia.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is published by Konami and developed by Kojima Productions for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on September 1.
