The people behind the successful fantasy film Snow White and the Huntsman have been thinking of a way to make another movie (and more money) out of it and now they have.
It is now official that the movie is now titled The Huntsman, a supposedly prequel to the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. The movie will be about the huntsman, who will be played by Chris Hemsworth, who tried to kill Snow White (Kristen Stewart) in the first movie.
People assumed that the next movie would still have a bit of Snow White character in it, but unfortunately for Stewart, her role was completely removed in the film.
Along with Stewart, the director of the first movie Rupert Sanders will not be seating on the director's chair. The film will instead be directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan. This will be his feature directorial debut.
It says that the upcoming film will focus on the life of Eric the huntsman before his mission to kill Snow White and the search for a magical mirror. We might also see more scenes with the huntsman and Queen Ravenna, which will be played by Charlize Theron.
The script of the prequel was writing by writer-director Frank Darabont of The Walking Dead.
Aside from Hemsworth and Theron, Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, Nick Frost, Sheridan Smith, Rob Brydon and Alexandra Roach are part of the official cast.
The latest addition to the The Huntsman cast is Sam Claflin, who was also part of the cast of Snow White and the Huntsman. He will reprise his role as William, Snow White's friend in the first movie. As of now, his importance to the whole plot of the movie is still unknown or vague.
There are only few details of the film as of now, but it said that Blunt might be a villain in this one.
The filming had started last April in Waverly Abbey with Hemsworth and Chastain.
The hunting of the anguished man will start on April 22, 2016.
