"Outlander" recently wrapped up season one following the screening of its finale episode titled, "To Ransom A Man's Soul." As the cast and crew of the Starz time traveler series have already begun filming for season two, Ron Moore revealed several interesting details of what fans can expect in the upcoming season.

"Outlander" ended season one with a bang and while the episode ended on a positive note, showrunner Ron Moore revealed that season two will have more gossips, more conspiracies and more lies.
"Outlander" season 2 will be taken from Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber." As most book fans know, the upcoming season will be set in France, as Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) will be will be trying to stop the Battle of Culloden from taking place.
"The first half of the book is all in Paris and it's very political and it's a lot of conspiracies and maneuvering and gossips and double-dealing as they're trying to stop Culloden and start to change history, and then the book shifts and they return to Scotland and then it's a war story. It's two very distinct halves," Moore told Zap2It.
"Outlander" season 2 will see the introduction of new characters in the series, including the fan-favorite characters, Brianna and Roger. While Moore was mum about the actor and actress to portray these roles, the showrunner revealed that Lotte Verbeek will be returning as Geillis Duncan.
Stanley Weber is also joining the cast as Le Comte St. Germain, who is known for his ruthlessness and whose character is set to appear in Paris, E! News reported.
Robert Cavanah will also star in "Outlander" season 2 and will play as Jamie's cousin, Jared Fraser. The Starz series is rumored to return with all new episodes on April 16, 2016.
