Hold your breath, Earth's mightiest female superhero is coming! But that is until we see her in the next two years. "Captain Marvel" will be released on 2018, along with "Black Panther" and "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1".
Fans cannot deny their excitement with the upcoming first female-led superhero film, which is to be released for the big screen on November 2, 2018.
The production team for the film is already chosen. Marvel has announced last two weeks that Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) will draft the script. Now the question goes: Who will play the lead?
Several actresses have been rumored to play the role. And the search for the best actress is already on the way.

Charlize Theron is very hot on the line. After her raging portrayal of Furiosa in George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road, it's undeniable she stays to be on top of the Captain Marvel game. She has played on several superhero movies before, so this will not be new for her. There's Aeon Flux and Hancock. She also played the powerful queen in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Emily Blunt is next on the list, and for me she'll be the best choice. She has been a highly effective actress, especially on Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. It was a perfect performance and it showed her versatility as an actress. She is just the perfect lady for the Captain Marvel mantle Carol Danvers.
Third is the queen of half-duck-face Natalie Dormer. Not only that we love her in her Margaery Tyrell portrayal in the Game of Thrones but also on her Cressida role in the Hunger Games: Mockingjay. She has played Private Lorraine in Avengers, so there's already a connection for her with Marvel.
It's been since the first announcement of the film that Katheryn Winnick, fourth in the list, was rumored to land the role. Winnick isn't only really pretty, she's also really good in actual combat. She has won awards in Tae Kwon Do, has 3rd-degree black belt rank in Tae Kwon Do a 2nd-degree black belt in Karate, and a licensed bodyguard. What's more, she also owns a martial arts studio at the very age of sixteen!
Katee Sackhoff is also a long-runner in the fan-favorite game. She had been seen in TV show BattleStar Galactica, Riddick and Oculus.
Second to the last is Lily Rabe. She's a Tony awards winner and is a pro in theatre acting. She's known for her roles in American Horror Story: Coven. If she gets the role, we'll probably see a ballerina-esque kind of Carol Danvers.
Last on the list is Keri Russel. She's starred in the show Felicity, and The Americans. Russel has this very soft features that would perfect the soft side of Carol Danvers, and also the fierceness of a true lady superhero.
