Latest 'Gotham' spoilers revealed major changes in Season 2 to happen for some of its characters. Upcoming season includes Ed Nygma's search for his identity. Many questioned if he will be going to become a full-blown villain or not. Another, Jada Pinkett Smith's Fish Mooney is said to be leaving the series.
'Gotham' Season 1 has garnered just enough ratings to continue their journey in season 2. Previously, it was reported that some new faces are going to be in for the upcoming season. And, many of the established characters will be returning. But, one prominent figure might not return the show for Season 2.
Screen Rants reports that Jada Pinkett Smith's comeback is still in the limbo. But during one of the interviews, the actress revealed in a sad tone that, she is going to miss the whole cast and "it was such a great team."
The site added that her character as Fish already served the purpose as a launchpad for the Penguin's storyline. Thus, her days as a regular are probably over in 'Gotham' Season 2.
Other 'Gotham' spoilers revealed a major change for Cory Michael Smith's character, Ed Nygma, when Season 2 premieres. It will further develop the finding of Nygma's identity from being a confused semi-villain into full-blown Riddler.
The character in question was seen towards the end of the 'Gotham' Season 1. His dark and villainous demeanor conflicts with the person fans know from the comics and movies because he is not yet a full-blown supervillain, according to CP Entertainment.
But, actor Cory Michael Smith says that "it changes everything." Season 1 opened up the detailed beginning of his neurosis and killing sprees, and this story arc will continue to develop in 'Gotham' season 2 onwards. Melty speculates that this development will also help in the dynamic of Enigma with the other characters in the show, especially Detective Gordon.
