Bourne 5 is being worked on as its scheduled release is nearing. Actress Alicia Vikander, might join the cast, and star alongside Matt Damon.
Jason Bourne will once again appear in the big screen, and is expected to bring heart-stopping action in the upcoming Bourne film. Although the movie doesn't have an official title yet, and is currently being referred to as 'Bourne 5', rest assured that it will really make it to theaters next year, as actor Matt Damon, along with Christopher Rouse and the film's director Paul Greengrass have long started writing the script for the movie.
Preparations are already being made for the upcoming film. Damon, who will play Jason Bourne has been preparing himself, especially his body, for the role as he was seen hitting the gym earlier this year. Producers have also started on casting actors and actresses for the movie. One of the actresses considered for the role is 'Testament of Youth' star Alicia Vikander. She is said to be currently in negotiations to play the lead role in the movie and star alongside Damon.
But aside from Bourne 5, the actress was also reportedly offered to star in Justin Kurzel's upcoming Assassin's Creed, which will be a film adaptation of the popular Ubisoft game. Both Bourne 5 and Assassin's Creed has been scheduled for release next year. It seems like Vikander is still thinking things through as she hasn't made any confirmation yet as to which film she will accept, although there is always that possibility that she'll take both.
Meanwhile, Vikander will star in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and "Adam Jones" which will both be released this later year.
Although previously slated for a July 15, 2016 release, Bourne 5 has been pushed further to 2 more weeks later. Bourne 5 is expected to hit theaters in July 19, 2016.
