One of L.A Film Festival 2015's highly anticipated movies "The Escort" has finally released its official trailer via Deadline, featuring "Kick-Ass" actress Lyndsy Fonseca as a Stanford-educated hooker and "This Thing With Sarah" actor-director Michael Doneger as a sex-addict journalist.
The nearly 2-minute trailer shows Mitch (Michael Doneger), a sex-addict who is in need of a big story to get into a big job. He then turns to Natalie (Lyndsy Fonseca), a Stanford-schooled prostitute who tells him "you tell yourself that you would never do something like that for money, but when it's staring you right in the face..." The pair develops a partnership which mutually benefits both of them. Mitch goes with Natalie on her exploits for his "big story" while Natalie uses him as a protection from the bad guys. From there, the pair's relationship grows into something more.
Slocombe's film from Cloverhill Pictures is reigned by Yahoo's senior editor Kevin Polowy as one of the 5 movies to look out for in this year's Los Angeles Film Festival. According to Deadline, the film is set to premiere on June 15th in the LA Muse section at this year's Los Angeles Film Festival. Will Slocombe of "Cold Turkey" and "Crime Fiction" directed the film with a script penned by Doneger and Brandon A. Cohen.
Other than the Fonseca ("How I Met Your Mother", "Kick-Ass") and Doneger ("This Thing With Sarah", "Closing Time"), WeGotThisCovered reports that "The Escort" also stars Bruce Campbell ("Evil Dead", "Burn Notice"), Tommy Dewey("Step Up Revolution", "The Babymakers"), Rumer Willis ("The House Bunny", "There's Always Woodstock"), Rachel Resheff ("Dead Man Down", "Tick Tock Time Emporium"), and Sonya Walger ("Lost", "Flashforward").
