"Outlander" season 2 spoilers revealed that fans can expect tension to rise among Jamie, Claire and Frank.
According to "Outlander" season 2 spoilers from Christian Today, author of the series herself Diana Gabaldon teased that fans can expect several twists and turns in the storyline. She also hinted that Claire (Caitriona Balfe), Frank (Tobias Menzies) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) relationship will be the focus of the upcoming season.
IB Times reported that a leaked photo of Claire and Jamie has circulated online. In the photo, the two were seen sharing a passionate kiss for a scene together.
"Outlander" season 2 is based on Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber."
As reported by Deadline, fans who have read the series would be surprised to find out that there will be several changes in Starz' TV adaptation. Show runner Ron Moore explained that they had encountered difficulty bringing the series to life.
"There will be twists and turns that aren't in the book. The second book is more complex than the first book is. It's a little tougher challenge to adapt it," he said.
Moore held that the book was just too "political" and "complex" given that the series took place during the Jacobite Rebellion. He also cited Jamie and Claire's attempt to "change the history" as an example. Despite several hiccups, Moore shared that they had a lot of fun shooting "Outlander" season 2. He added that the filming for the upcoming season have begun three weeks ago.
Ron Moore also shared that Diana Gabaldon have been extremely supportive and trusting the entire time. He said that although the writer has given them the reign, he explained that he wanted to stay faithful to the novels as much as possible.
"I'm going to try to deliver these books and it matters to me that we try to be as truthful to them as we can and lets go forward on that basis," he said.
