Destiny The Taken King DLC Includes New Locations, PvP Maps, Strikes, Raid with Oryx; Bungie Expansion Costs $40?

Destiny gets several leaks around the internet these days, although Bungie is keeping mum about these. Fans are curious as to whether the developer is saving official announcements in the Electronic Entertainment Expo, where more than peace of mind will be granted to eager gamers. With news from a Red Bull advertisement that the new patch will be named The Taken King, more specific details on the upgrade have been divulged.

Initially, Comet was the working title for The Taken King. The said patch is now being considered as Destiny 1.5, as noted by a games article. Bungie will be selling the game through a boxed version, which is presumed to contain previous content as well.

It is apparent from the release of the House of Wolves DLC that Bungie has been keeping an open ear towards fans as to how Destiny should progress. For one thing, players are able to get a prized Treasure Key after every week, provided that they cash at least one Wanted Bounty.

The drop rate of Keys has also been increased, where farming them was taken out. Moreover, Identity and Judgment as Prison of Elders rewards may be retrieved from Ether Chests, along with Tokens of Flight instead of ammo synths.

When it comes to The Taken King, another report mentions that there will be new locations, PvP maps and Strikes. A new raid will also be included, something which was not present in the House of Wolves DLC. This means that gamers will be able to face the father of Crota, Oryx. The said character served as the boss in the first expansion of Destiny.

The upcoming patch for Destiny, The Taken King stands at $40, but this has yet to be confirmed by Bungie. If this value would push through, fans will surely expect a lot of content from the title as it goes way above the price of the original game itself.
