As OnePlus prepared to unleash its newest phone model, OnePlus Two, the mobile phone company had prepared another brilliant marketing strategy to fuel their sales campaign. OnePlus would be conducting two contests, "Your OnePlus Story" and "Photo Mania 2015," wherein the winners would be able to grab the latest OnePlus Two phone for the major prize.
For the "Your OnePlus Story" contest, participants would have to make a video using their OnePlus One mobile phone and tell a story about their experience on using the phone. Apart from that, participants would also be scored on how they could relate their OnePlus One experience to their expectations on the upcoming OnePlus Two smartphone. Winning entries would be judged "based on production, quality, and originality, so it won't be enough to just sit in front of a camera and talk," based on a report from DigitalTrends.
As for the "Photo Mania 2015," the image that would be shot using the OnePlus One smartphone and the quality should be set at the minimum of 1080p. The unedited photo entries should be posted on Instagram and should be tagged with @oneplustech; participants would then caption their entries based on their OnePlus One smartphone experience.
Aside from receiving OnePlus Two smartphones, over-all winning entries for the two contest would also get "a trip to Hong Kong, all expenses paid, on or before June 28." Submission of entries for interested OnePlus One smartphone owners would be up to June 25th.
Meanwhile, OnePlus One smartphone might be stuck at an all-time budget friendly price following OnePlus' failed launch of their anticipated OnePlus Two smartphone a few days back. The Chinese mobile phone company decided to extend their discount prices for their early OnePlus One smartphone model indefinitely and moved away from the planned June 01-07 promo, based on a report from TechRadar.
Add to that, OnePlus would be bundling their 64GB OnePlus One smartphone with a free one-year Dropbox Pro subscription. As for the buyers who bought the OnePlus One smartphone at a higher price when the discounted price promo was extended, the mobile company assured those consumers that the extra price they bought the device for would definitely be refunded.
