The WWE 2K16 is announced by 2K to release on the current and last gen consoles this coming October and roster rumors as well as the game's new features have unstoppably spurred online. The latest reveals that surfaced are that the next entry to the wrestling sim franchise will bring in two legendary matches in the history of Wrestling Mania.
Attack of the Fanboy reports that the leaked footage uploaded by WWE Series Videos reveal commentaries of Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross for the highly anticipated WWE 2K16 release this October 27. The two popular commentators were heard discussing about Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
The 2 matches rumored to be featured in WWE 2K16 are the following:
- WWF Raw Is War - 06/02/97 - Shawn Michaels & Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Legion of Doom - WWE Tag Team Titles
- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels - KOTR 1997
In related news, WWE 2K15 for PC has now received its first DLC following the initial launching of the game last April, 2K has announced via its official Facebook page.
The post reads:
"Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the #WWE2K15 PC DLC runs wild on you tomorrow?!"
It's reported earlier that the WWE 2K15 for PC is packed with all the DLC released for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 for FREE. This is quite a special treat for PC owners contrary to separate purchase of the game's Season Pass and DLC for console users.
The first DLC for WWE 2K15 add the WCW and NXT packs including the moves pack that contains the new wrestling moves but what would be more interesting is the addition of the 3 2K modes that have tons of wrestlers and playable matches. Paige, however, will not be part of the expansion and stays to be console exclusive, hence, not accessible to the PC version.
2K Sports has announced WWE 2K16 official release date on October 27 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 but obviously, there's no mention of PC version which could mean that the game will be delayed again for the said platform.
