Google Nexus 6 Discounted Price is $200 off of its Original Price; Upcoming Nexus 5 costs below $500?

Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 owners are in for a few treats: a retailer offers a huge discount for Nexus 6; a camera update for faster capture has been released for both devices; and the Nexus 5 was reported to be offered at a much affordable price than the Nexus 6.

In a listing on eBay, a retailer of low-cost Nexus 6 is selling the device for $440, an amount that is more than $200 off of its original price. The 32GB Nexus 6 variant, which is manufactured by Motorola, is being offered by Cellular Stream. The device is available only in the US, and it will be free of shipment cost.

Interested users outside US can still avail of a discounted Nexus 6 through Google Store. Google will trim the Nexus 6 original $649 price down to $499 for the 32GB model and $549 for the 64GB model starting this June. Amazon and Best Buy also followed in reducing the device's cost, and followed later by Motorola.

Nexus 6 will be one of the devices that will be updated for Android M, Google's latest version of mobile operating system.

Not only will the Nexus 6 be available at an affordable price, but also the upcoming Nexus 5. A website with a source familiar with the matter reported that the Nexus 5 (2015) will be offered at a price below $500.

In order to achieve the phone maker's goal of offering the handset at an affordable price, it will be trimming down some of the device's specs, such as screen size. From the 6-inch that is Nexus 6, the Nexus 5 could sport a 5-inch screen display.

Google is said to release two devices either in October or November this year. One will be the successor of LG Nexus 5 and the other a successor of the Nexus 6.

Meanwhile, Google camera has been updated with some tweaks meant for Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. Here's the trick: Nexus 6 that runs on Android 5.1 gets faster shooting without HDR. There are also new capture and focus indicators as well as larger sizes and better quality for Lens Blur.

The Nexus 6 reduction in price is an indication that a successor is in its way to replacing it. Along with the Nexus 5, we'll all see it when it's released later this year.
