Fans of the game have found it their lucky day as more news came their way a little later when EA's own press conference commenced. For instance, as reported in a games article, the setting would be in Zombarbia where Dr. Zomboss has triumphed in creating a stronghold. The biggest twist gamers would find would be the fact that the Plants would be on the offensive side instead.

Compared to Garden Warfare last year, this sequel will give players the chance to experience siding with the zombies as they protect their territory from the Plants' offenses. Doing so would allow Dr. Zomboss to accomplish his plans. Apart from the plot of the game, it was also teased that there would be a set of new classes, which will add to the previous ones. At the same time, fighting against bosses will be more bearable as calling for Zombie mechs would be allowed.

As reported in VG 24/7, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will feature zombie co-op. Nonetheless, the single mode would still be playable alone or with a split-screen when on co-op. Those who owned the original game would be allowed to transfer characters to the new title. EA also noted that free content will be delivered later on to keep the game fresh and filled with action.
