Game of thrones season 5 had just recently ended and as the fans are grieving with the death of their most beloved Jon Snow, some others are also busy bringing him back from the dead or at least trying to formulate ideas on how to. Up until today, there have been three theories on how Jon Snow might come back from the world of the dead on Season 6.
During the Game of Thrones season 5 finale, "Mother's Mercy", just as Stannis was losing the battle, Milisandre was seen going back to Castle Black and fans are speculating that the fire lady is about to bring back Winterfell's bastard to life. Jon Snow was seen dead after being stabbed to death by his comrades from the Night's Watch.
Fans were left heartbroken after the episode's director David Nutter has confirmed that indeed Jon Snow is dead. To add to that is fact that the George R.R Martin, the author of Song of Ice and Fire, which the series was based on, is known for killing the main characters.
During the recent interview with entertainment weekly, Kit Harrington and David Nutter were insisting that Jon Snow is really dead but with Martin refusing to confirm Jon Snow's death, fans are starting to create theories in order to bring Jon Snow back to life.
First of those theories is Jon Snow warging into his direwolf, Ghost. This theory is supported when Kit Harrington expressed his interest in warging into a wolf, "I'd like to be a warg. I'd like to put myself inside a wolf." Harrington stated. It was then supported by the show's creator, D.B. Weiss when he answered Harrington with "Two words for you: Season 6."
Second and the most popular theory is Melisandre bringing Jon back to life from the dead. Melisandre is known for following the Lord of light who possesses the ability to resurrect the dead. Also, after Stannis death, Melisandre is now looking for the new Messiah and rumor has it that it'll be Jon Snow.
Recent rumor has it that Jon Snow might be the next or one of the next Azor Ahai, together with Daenerys and Tyrion Lannister. Azor Ahai is the hero who, together with the children of the forest, will save the mankind from the White Walkers if ever the long night finally arrives.
Third and the last theory is the "Night King" theory. The Night King is the most powerful among the White Walkers, he is capable of bringing the dead back to life, which he was seen doing for a couple of times already. Rumor has it that the night king might have seen something in him and might revive him to make him the heir to his throne.
Despite the countless theories, fans still has to wait for Game of Thrones season 6 in order for them to know whether or now Jon Snow will be really back or which among the speculations is true.
