XDA Developer forum member NimeniAltu gave a workaround fix for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge glitch through installing a multiwindow toggle app in Google Playstore.

Other XDA Developer forum members who used NimeniAltu's APK testified that the APK works. It reportedly brought back the missing toggles in the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices such as mobile data, Wi-Fi hotspot, private mode, and other toggles.

"One of the XDA Developer forum members named NimeniAltu has claimed an unofficial fix for the issue that brings back the mobile data toggle on the handset. However, we would warn users to try this at their own risk - the apk files being provided have not been verified," cited NDTV.

SamsungMobileArabia previously confirmed the issue through a Twitter post as well as assuring a customer that their team is "working on the issue." The company also gave a temporary solution by formatting the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices.

"@PriMan83 Hello, our team is working on the issue.if you want the feature to return, please back the files in the phone and format the phone," said SamsungMobileArabia.

There were also other users who shared some possible fixes for the problem. One way was to find the switch "deep down in the Settings app under Data Usage, which users can easily tap to turn data on or off."

This problem was previously aired by various users complaining about a glitch in the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices, in which some toggles in the Quick Settings suddenly disappeared. This was perceived to be a global problem as there were other device owners in Guatemala, Switzerland, France, and regions complaining of the same problem.

"Users around the world are taking to online forums complaining about the sudden disappearance of the mobile data toggle on their phone's Quick Settings. Reports say the disappearance happened suddenly, even without downloading or updating third-party apps, as a Samsung customer service representative claims to be a possible cause of the glitch," reports Tech Times.

NimeniAltu's "Multiwindow toggle" APK can be found in the Google Playstore.

As of this writing, Samsung is working on an official solution for the glitch and is yet to issue it.
