Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands Revealed, Open World First Person Shooter Demo at E3 2015

Because it is really nice to save the best for last, Ubisoft closed their E3 press conference with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The reveal consisted of a game trailer and a game demo played by Ubisoft's 4 teammates.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is what ended Ubisoft's press event at E3 2015 with a bang. The Guardian reports that unlike previous Ghost Recon games, where there is a fixed path for a player to follow, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is an open world first person shooter that allows them to freely explore the environment and finish the game however they like. They can either go with a stealthy approach and slowly pick off bad guys, or go all out and wreak havoc.

You will play as a US Special Forces Squad leader and you will have to face and defeat a drug cartel that has allied with the corrupt government. As a squad leader, the player will choose what actions the team will do in order to weaken the alliance of the government and drug cartel.

Ubisoft also demoed the game by showing a play through of a mission by 4 players in a report by IGN. They were dropped off at 4 different locations and they were to extract a snitch being held captive. They had different paths and it was a good way to showcase different stealth tactics and use of vehicles available in game. They found the target after interrogating an enemy about the location. The team then went near the location and found 2 AI factions in a shootout near a helicopter. After cleaning up the 2 factions, they stole the helicopter and extracted the target.

The gameplay demo looks very promising for gamers who like to play with friends. Ubisoft also mentioned that players can drive or fly any vehicle they find in the open world. The Pocket Lint cited that weapons with lots of firepower can also be used to edit the environment.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is an Open World first person shooter game developed by Ubisoft for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The release date has not yet been announced.
