On June 15, 2015, E3 revealed that Telltale Games finally reveal its latest version of The Walking Dead: Telltale Mini Series which premieres this coming fall.
Cnet reports that the game mini-series will have its storyline revolve around the blade-wielding Michonne, who stars in the comic books as someone haunted by her past who still copes with a great loss and regret. Accordingly, the game exposes the yet to be revealed events in the life of Michonne between issue nos. 129 to 136, explaining what separated her from her trusted group and what made her come back.
According to Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, they chose the character of Michonne to be the center of the mini-series for "[she] herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead. She is brutal and cold on the outside, but deep beneath what is broken, she remains hopeful, trying to claw her way out of the darkness that surrounds her..." and in turn, "...there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap..." between the comic book and the Telltale series. However, there is no confirmation yet if Danai Gurira, the actress who played Michonne in the television series, would lend her voice to Telltale Games for the game character's lines.
The blade-wielding, walker-slaying Michonne's character would be the "center" of the game as her decisions and actions in critical circumstances change the course of the gameplay according to Screen Rant. The player must select among the choices of actions, decisions, or scripts which one desires or thinks to be the "best" choice in a given situation. Future events, as well as interaction with the other characters depend on such choices of the player, making a player feel deeply immersed in the game.
The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Games Mini Series will be out in the market this fall. The game will be playable on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and iOs and Android devices. In addition, the player must have at least the first episode of The Walking Dead Season 2 in order to play.
