Doom 4 Gameplay Revealed on E3 2015, Series returns with new execution mechanic as previous Doom game modes makes a comeback

Bethesda Softworks started its E3 press conference with a bang by presenting some game footage of the reboot of Doom by Id Software. The video they presented had the fans of the Doom series excited because Doom finally makes a comeback after the release of Doom 3 last 2004. Fans of first person shooter games were also intrigued by the game because of the stunning graphics and gore.

After several years of waiting, the 4th installment of Doom will finally be released and Doom fans are now restless because of the gameplay video that Bethesda presented in their Press Conference at E3 2015. Doom fans did not expect a 4th Installment of Doom because of Doom 3's release back in 2004 where the game did not really have what the fans were expecting. Now, this reboot of Doom will redeem the name of the series now with the return of its fast paced movement, powerful weapons, and horror.

The video presented two sections of the single-player campaign which was in a UAC-run Martian facility, and another based in a section of Hell. Some guns from the previous Doom releases will make a comeback and it really gives fans a nostalgic feeling. The two weapons that stood out from the whole video of course were the Chainsaw and BFG.

Guns aren't the only things players can use to kill enemies because they can also use melee thanks to the new execution mechanic that was added. Not only does it reward players with some of the goriest kills in the Doom 4, but it also provides extra ammo and health. Id Software also revealed a few multiplayer modes and user-created content in the video. Game modes from previous Doom games like the Arena-style Clan matches, Domination and Freeze Tag will all make a return. The new Snapmap is a level editor that will allow players to make their own game levels.

Doom is an FPS game developed by Id Software and published by Bethesda. It will be released this coming 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
