By

BlackBerry's new 10.3.2 OS has been rolled out for BlackBerry 10 phones in major US network carriers, including T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. The new OS which comes in a 369MB software package promises "more power, more privacy, and even more productivity" for Blackberry 10 lineup.

Verizon posted on its support page that all its BlackBerry Classic phones have been updated. However, new phone buyers will have to wait until the network carrier can provide the software update on its supporting site. That is because the software can only be downloaded directly from the Canadian company's servers as of now, according to reports.

Users that know how manual downloading of software updates works, as well as those that know how to use autoloaders, can download the files from CrackBerry forums and forgo waiting time. Sachesi is also a go-to app that allows BlackBerry device users to search, extract, and uninstall firmware, as well as nuke, wipe, restore, and backup data.

At AT&T the BlackBerry Classic phones that have been updated are the BlackBerry Q10 and Z10. Likewise, T-Mobile announced that it has received approval from BlackBerry Enterprise regarding the 10.3.2 OS. It also promised to announce separately when the update is available to older BlackBerry 10 devices.

Features

With this enhanced OS, users can expect to capture better camera performance in low-lit environments, less blur when capturing moving objects, and better face detection mechanism. The Meeting Mode in the BlackBerry Calendar also received an enhancement. Now it can automatically turn the phone silent when its user is on a meeting.

Other improvements can be seen on the BlackBerry Blend which now has a new spelling check, visual enhancements to file transfer, and the ability to reply directly from within the app notification pop-ups.

To reaffirm BlackBerry's pursuit to provide unmatched security benefits, it included a feature called Anti-theft Protection in the Blackberry Protect. Through this feature, device users can fully disable their phones once it's lost or stolen. That way, no one can activate it or wipe away all the information it contains.

Access to Amazon app store is also supported. Spotify Music, Opera Mini Web browser, kindle, all social networks, and camera 360 are among the many apps at Amazon store that are available for BlackBerry.

Other Blackberry phones are also expected to receive the software update besides the BlackBerry 10 phones. The 10.3.2 OS will be seeded in a phased manner for Blackberry device users around the world to receive the update and experience the improvements.
