‘House of Cards’ Season 4: Frank should ‘watch his step’ as Claire is bound to do anything she wants, Kevin Spacey says

"House of Cards" is about to enter its fourth season and Kevin Spacey wants his character to watch his step. The actor's advice for Frank is due to the events during last season's finale where Claire made bold decision to leave her husband. Now that she's free from him, she can do just about anything she wants.

"House of Cards" season 4 will surely have to answer a lot of questions about the relationship of the First Couple. Is Claire (Robin Wrigtht) permanently leaving Frank (Kevin Spacey)? How will Frank deal with Claire's departure? Will it affect his presidential campaign? What is Claire's next move?

Christian Today reported that during an FYC post-screening Q&A, showrunner and head writer Beau Willimon said he already knows some of what's going to happen on the next season of "House of Cards" but is not going to spill any vital detail about it aside from the expected emphasis on the presidential campaign.

Willimon did however, say that even their team got "scared" of the idea that Claire will be leaving Frank in the third season's ultimate episode but still pursued that plot.

"We also realized we'd laid the groundwork in the previous two seasons for this conflict between Francis and Claire, and the more we began exploring it, the more inevitable it became," Willimon said.

Even Kevin Spacey himself thinks that there is something big ahead of Frank as a ramification of Claire's exit from his life. In an interview with E Online, Spacey warns his character to prepare for what Claire is cooking up next season.

"I could see Claire Underwood doing anything she wanted," the actor said. "Frank better watch his step."

However, according to iDigital Times, some fans of Netflix's hit series were not delighted with Beau Willimon's decision to involve less scandal and focus on the Underwood's relationship as a married couple. The showrunner understands their reactions but explains their decision for doing so.

"We don't want to pander or cater an upcoming season based purely on fan responses. But I am interested in what they have to say and I think it's great we can talk to each other," said Willimon.

Frank Underwood has to prepare for Claire' next move on "House of Cards" season 4. Kevin Spacey thinks his character better watch his step as Claire is now free to do anything.

"House of Cards" returns on 2016.
