The asymmetrical 4v1 multiplayer shooter Evolve is receiving Hunting Season 2, the game's newest DLC, on June 23 next week. This pack contains a new Monster, 4 Hunters and exclusive skins with the launch of each new playable character, 2K Games has announced.
The four new hunters and one new monster for Evolve Hunting Season 2 will be added between June this year and March 2016. The first new playable character named Lennox is arriving this Tuesday together with the second season pass that can be bought simultaneously on the same day.
Reportedly, Lennox, the first Hunter who is part of the Assault Class, owns a melee attack. Her Thunderchild suit is powered with Plasma Lance that creates a colossal damage in close-quarter combat situations. Also, she is equipped with Autocannon and Thunder Strikes pretty much useful when engaging from a long-range distance.
No further details were provided by game developer Turtle Rock Studios regarding the other upcoming four characters that will be added throughout Take Two Interactive's fiscal year other than they will be made available through the Hunting Season 2 pack or via an individual purchase. No information on the prices has been disclosed at this point either.
Turtle Rock design director Chris Ashton has talked of the new expansion in his official statement saying, "The new Monster and Hunters coming to Evolve in Hunting Season 2 are some of the most unique characters our team has created."
He added, "Each of these characters introduces combat mechanics that are brand new to the Evolve gameplay experience."
Since the game launching in February 2015, there are more than 2.5 million copies of Evolve have been sold worldwide. Parent publisher Take-Two has revealed that they plan to make the game franchise 'permanent' and even hinted that a sequel might not be multiplayer-centric.
Evolve: Hunting Season 2 will be available for purchase on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One this coming Tuesday, June 23.
