Seems like 'Iron Man 4' is out of Marvel's way for the moment, as there are so many films that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 to be released starting 2016 up to 2019. But Tony Stark must not be saddened by this, as he will still appear in some upcoming Marvel movies.
Reports say that either Robert Downey Jr. or the Marvel executives have said something about the 'Iron Man 4' not being in the pipeline for the coming years. We all have the idea of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 movies, and 'Iron Man 4' is not included.
Some reasons surfaced why 'Iron Man 4' was cancelled. First, Robert Downey Jr., the man who plays Tony Stark have asked for his past films a hefty $50 million for 'Iron Man' and 'Avengers' series, which made the producers think that Downey was a bit overboard for asking the kind of amount for his talent fee. Maybe because of the undoubted success of the movies he appeared in? Also, the cost of filming 'Iron Man 4' is costly, and because there are numerous lined up films, Marvel could not fit in 'Iron Man 4.'
According to realtytoday.com's report, "Although it would be good to strike while the iron is hot, Marvel may be thinking that giving Marvel fans a little too much dose of Iron Man will eventually backfire against the franchise. It certainly does not want it to happen to its most bankable superhero to date."
Meanwhile, Marvel has announced a new Iron Man comic where our man will build a new kind of world. Brian Michael Bendis alongside artist David Marquez will take charge of the relaunching of 'Iron Man' comic. According to IGN, Tony Stark will still be 'Iron Man,' with a twist - he will be having a new support cast, new armor, new status quo and of course, new villains.
