Update 1.04 for Project Cars introduces a host of upgrades and new features to the game, finally enabling it to deliver the same quality of gaming experience as its PC counterpart.
In the visual department in particular, it was noticeable from the day the game was first launched on different platforms that Project Cars on the PC appeared to be better than its versions on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, according to Eurogamer.
The entire update comes in at around 500MB.
One of the main issues addressed by the update is the ghosting effect present only on the Playstation 4 version of the game, according to Gear Nuke.
The update has also introduced new visual features to the console versions of Project Cars that were previously only seen on its PC port. Apart from visual enhancements made to the game, update 1.04 also brought in specific fixes to other aspects of the game.
Fixes made to car-specific issues were carried out via the patch, with notable vehicles such as the McLaren 12C GT3 and Lotus 72D among the recipients. Numerous race tracks that presented problems with in-game elements such as crash and starting point bugs were also addressed by update 1.04.
Tweaks to the game's controls were also introduced to help improve the experience of racing for players. Changes have also been made to the game's online mode. The pitting and tuning parts of the game have also been addressed to make it more convenient for players to deal with.
With update 1.04 now being released, fans of Project Cars can now set their sights on the title's first track pack DLC that is expected to be released in July, according to Expert Reviews.
The first track pack DLC is expected to introduce 12 new tracks to Project Cars. It is also widely presumed to be a paid expansion set.
