Kids Terrified After An Ohio Theater Mixes Up "Inside Out " and "Insidious 3"; Present Moviegoer Says Complaint Is "Exaggerated"

A theatre packed with preschoolers who were excited to watch the fun-filled animated movie "Inside Out" were left traumatized after the person in charge in the projector booth at an Ohio theater accidentally screened the terrifying horror flick "Insidious 3". However, a Facebook user who claims to have been in the screening says the complaint is clearly "a gross exaggeration".

The involuntary swap of "Inside Out" and "Insidious 3" has frustrated the parents of the kids who were left terrified after the horror movie was screened. Local Ohio paper, Journal News, reportedly caught wind of the accident after one of the parents named Jazmyn Moore, expressed her frustration regarding the possible long-term damage that the swap would do to the exposed children.

"I got our money back," wrote Moore on the local newspaper's Facebook page, "but the damage is already done. My children are terrified and keep asking questions."

Though the film was only screened for a little time, Moore believes that it would definitely have an effect to the children. As noted by Cinema Blend, she described that "Insidious 3" showed images of children being tied up and murdered, which according to her, has left her children terrified. However, her claims are a little bit far from what the story is which only follows the possession of a teenage girl from an evil entity.

For what it's worth, another Facebook user who claimed to be present when the mix-up occurred disputed Moore's report. "Insidious never started," Mandy Atkins said, according to Slash Film. "The managers caught on to what was happening, and turned the film off right after the opening credits cut off, before any of the actual film played."

Adkins also pointed out that no children were murdered in the horror sequel which makes Moore's claims a gross exaggeration. She also suggested that maybe the parent was referring to the trailer of another horror movie "Sinister 2". Despite this, she reported that all the children in the cinema were "all calm and fine," and that it was actually the parents who were freaking out.

Meanwhile, the theater manager immediately provided not only an apology but also refunds and upgraded passes for Pixar's "Inside Out". Considering the fact that both films starts with "Insid" and the management's quick action to stop the screening even before the opening credits end, some are seeing the mix-up, understandable.

This is not the first mix-up incident though, as the same thing has happened in Denver four months ago when The SpongeBob Movie was mistakenly swapped with Fifty Shades of Grey.
