Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date by 2017 Onward as Bethesda Focuses on Fallout 4 DLC; Publisher Not Joining E3 2016?

By

Elder Scrolls 6 is seeing a long road ahead as Bethesda has not shared plans about developing the game, considering the E3 2015 has already passed and all. Moreover, being that the publisher's flagship titles would be Fallout series as well as this one, the chance for an upcoming release even in 2016 is looking more unlikely. This is because the Studio Boss noted that the team might not even participate in the Electronic Entertainment Expo next year.

Fans have been very hopeful for details on Elder Scrolls 6 to come out during the E3 as part of Bethesda's first ever press conference. Unfortunately, the only one from the franchise that was showcased was Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, which was even from a different developer. With this in mind, it is very much in question when the next instalment will actually come along.

Pete Hines, who is the Studio Boss from Bethesda had an interview with the Telegraph, where he shared his thoughts on this matter. He said, talking about future participation in the E3 gaming event, "I don't know if we'll do one next year... I don't know if we'll do one again. This year felt like the right time to do this kind of thing."

Based on a recent report, this was taken as a sign that Bethesda might not have anything planned for the Elder Scrolls series in a while. Fans are starting to consider, more so, that the sixth title might be seeing its way in 2017 or even in 2018 instead. At the same time, the developer is likely to use the coming months to focus on DLC for Fallout 4.

Elder Scrolls 6 is still a distant cry in gamers' ears. With the E3 2015 just passed, and with Fallout 4 being the highlight of Bethesda in the event, other flagship titles might only be coming out in 2017 or so.
