Iron Banner is back again in "Destiny." Fans and gamers are excited for the second return of the event since the first release of "Destiny: House of Wolves," succeeding the first House of Wolves Iron Banner event three weeks after. Iron Banner's return will be the perfect time for gamers to level up and score some legendary loot, apart from winning extra weapons and other collectibles.
Game developers from Bungie took it to their official Twitter account the announcement of the game mode's return. "Iron Banner returns tomorrow at 10AM. Earn Gauntlets, Chest, Machinegun and for the first time ever... the Pulse Rifle (Skorri's Revenge)," Bungie said in their post.
During the last Iron Banner event, Polygon reported Lord Saladin offered Etheric Light at ranks 3 and 5 of Iron Banner reputation. It was a vital and rare resource that's necessary to upgrade legendary gear. In addition, a reputation boost was also made available for players with lower-ranked alternate Guardians. The last Iron Banner event came in with update 1.2.0.1. and some other notable changes. However, there were no details if the last event's upgrades will be available in the latest event.
On the other hand, Digital Spy did confirm other details regarding the latest Iron Banner event. In its return, players of the competitive event will be given chances to earn prizes, such as gauntlets and a chest. They will have the opportunity to unlock weapons - much needed machine guns and the legendary pulse rifle called Skorri's Revenge.
Iron Banner is a limited-time multiplayer event. It may have been one of the few Iron Banner events left before another expansion begins. It was earlier reported by IGN News that another "Destiny" major content release called "The Taken King" will be out soon in September. However it wasn't clear on how it will affect the current special Crucible event.
The multiplayer game mode was first introduced to "Destiny" last October. It is a special event especially made for PvP gaming. The Iron Banner will begin at exactly 10 a.m. PDT/1 pm EDT on June 30.
