It sure is double the trouble, and double the fun, as Tom Hardy portrays the role of identical mobster twins who reigned London's underground during the 50's and 60's in the movie Legend. A new trailer has been released showing Hardy get into action as the notorious Kray twins.
Tom Hardy is the notorious Reggie and Ronnie Kray who were popular in the 50's and 60's London as the notorious mobsters who aimed at making London 'lively' with nightclubs and illegal activities.
Although bearing almost the same features, Reggie and Ronnie are somehow entirely different individuals in a lot of ways but also share a couple of interests.
Reggie Kray is 'the ganster prince of the East End', as described by one of the characters in the trailer. He is the planner between the two, the smooth talker, and the one who loves to be around ladies. On the other hand, Ronnie Kray, as described by another character to Reggie, is the 'violent, paranoid schizophrenic who's off his rocker'.
Unlike his twin brother, Ronnie prefers to be with men, and specifically, Italian men as mentioned in the trailer. Together, the twins broke the rules and starred London's underground scene. But they might not just be fighting together, as they might also be fighting against each other.
A trailer has also been released for the film supplying the necessary details that mobster film fans needed to know about the twins and the world they live in. Cars crashing into a diner, Ronnie aiming his gun at men having their drinks, money poured into an empty sink, a woman asking Reggie to change, police officers planning to nail down the twins, a wedding, girls, more money, and violence are some of the things presented in the trailer.
Legend's cast also includes Emily Browning, Taron Egerton, Colin Morgan, Christopher Eccleston, and David Thewlis. It is directed by Brian Helgeland, and is set to hit theaters in October 2015.
