The much adored characters of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven will be back for Frozen 2. Although details about the movie's plot is still pretty scarce, various theories have surfaced discussing what might be in store for the characters of the hit 2013 animated movie.
The story continues for the hit animated movie Frozen, as Disney has officially announced that Frozen 2 is on its way to the big screen. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will sit in the directors' chairs, and Lee will be writing its screenplay. Due to its great success, which earned the first movie the title of being the 'highest grossing animated movie of all time', pressure is now much heavier for the directors, as they now have level on the first movie, or surpass it.
Buck revealed that an ending for the movie has been agreed on, and they are currently focusing on the right way to start it. Other details about the movie, as well as its plot is still a well-kept secret for its creators as of the moment.
Meanwhile, various plot theories have surfaced as to the possible direction the movie might be heading. Many suggest that a wedding for Anna and Kristoff might take place, after their love story had been established in the first movie.
Also, a love interest might be revealed in Frozen 2 for Queen Elsa. After Anna had found the love of her life, many think that it's time for Elsa to find her other half. Having said that, many speculate that Olaf might be the one for Elsa. The snowman who has received enormous amounts of love from the fans might be transformed with the help of Elsa's powers, and might be the match for the powerful queen.
Frozen 2's story might also reportedly include a battle between Elsa and an evil King, based from the plot of L. Frank Baum's book, "Ozma of Oz". The book's story and Frozen 2 will be a little similar, since both books have the same theme, and Frozen's Queen Elsa also bears a couple similarities with Ozma of Oz's Dorothy of Kansas.
No exact release date has been released yet, although Frozen 2 will reportedly hit theaters in 2018. More details are expected to be released as the production for the movie progresses.
