Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment For Xbox One Coming Next Week

By

EA Digital Illusions CE released the Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment for the PC last year and now CTE is headed to the Xbox One console this year. It's release date is very very close now because it is on July 6, 2015. That's less than a week away! Battlefield fans are excited to take CTE out for a spin on their Next Gen consoles.

According to a report by VG247, a post on reddit a few days ago confirmed that Battlefield 4 CTE is going to be available for the Xbox One very soon. But what is CTE anyway and why is it so special? Well CTE is what EA Digital Illusions uses to test new improvements and solutions to some current issues that are in the game. This is quite an effective method for EA to know their players' opinions and this also gives players the chance to test out new things that are coming to Battlefield 4 so both the developers and the players are in a win-win situation.

It is like Battlefield 4's Community Test Environment for the PC but with more improvements. GameSpot presented DICE's explanation regarding their release of CTE for the Xbox One: "As a player in the CTE, you will be able to provide your feedback and influence the future of Battlefield 4." EA DICE also said: "The type of updates on the CTE on Xbox One will be bigger and less frequent than on PC. However, you can still expect regular updates, tests, and prototypes." Good news for Xbox players because that means they can play more.

There are just a few requirements to access CTE according to GameInformer. Players must have a copy of Battlefield 4 and be a Premium member of the game. The third requirement is that they have to be a member of the Xbox One preview program.

Battlefield 4 CTE is a program for BF4 that allows DICE to test their new improvements to the game and enables them to hear feedback from their players. It will be coming to the Xbox One this July 6.
