'The Flash' season 2 has lots to offer to its viewers more than ever. Its official synopsis has just been released and it did give enough spoilers to glean from. After Eddie's death, Barry Allen and Iris possible romance is not likely to happen soon. It is speculated that he will have a new love interest by the name of Wendy. Despite that, Iris will continue help Allen in hunting down criminals.
'The Flash' season 1 ended with a bang, as Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanaugh) was defeated. Joe West (Jesse Martin) lost his partner and Iris West (Candice Patton) lost her fiancé when Eddie (Rick Cosnett) sacrificed himself to destroy the Reverse Flash. In season 2, fans will see how the two will recover from this loss.
In an interview with TVLine, actress Candice Patton revealed that her character will try to move on by continuing to help Barry to hunt down criminals and metahumans after finally being brought into the fold in the Season 1 homestretch. She added that Iris will be more skillful in helping the S.T.A.R Labs team and herself.
Additionally, Eddie's death will also prevent Barry and Iris from getting together soon. Barry might be paired with a new love interest in Season 2 named Wendy who's been described as a "spunky, fun, and funny" science whiz. She might also be Joe's new partner, Cinemablend speculates.

Aside from Wendy, a handsome mystery hero currently called "John Clark," who is described as being "slightly cynical with an edge, is speculated to be added to the new characters lineup for 'The Flash' season 2.
