'Fantastic Four' Update: New Trailer Features Unmasked Doctor Doom; Actor Toby Kebbell Reveals ‘Bright’ Version Of The Supervillain

20th Century Fox has revealed the final theatrical trailer for the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot. The trailer reveals the powerful and menacing character of Doctor Doom behind his iconic mask. The upcoming movie will feature a "bright" version of the supervillain, as revealed by actor Toby Kebbell.

After its exclusive premiere at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, the final trailer for Fox's remake of "Fantastic Four" has officially made its way to the public. The video opens with a young Reed Richards, showing his very own invention to his childhood friend, Ben Grimm. From there, the trailer shows brief shots of the rest of the team in action including, Johnny Storm, the Thing, and Invisible Woman. Though the 2-minute footage has focused more of the origin of the titular members, it has also given the fans a closer look on the movie's traditional supervilain, Doctor Doom.

Played by "Dawn of the Planet Apes" actor Toby Kebbell, Doctor Doom in the upcoming film is "an anti-social programmer" with an original name of Victor Domashev. His scarred character is seen in the video unmasked, saying "This is the end of your world and the beginning of mine." Similar to the Doctor Doom of Julian McMahon in the 2005 "Fantastic Four" and its 2007 sequel "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer", Kebbell's portrayal of the villain also strays away from the character's traditional comic book rendition.

According to Cinema Blend, the reboot's Doctor Doom appears to have some kind of kinship with the titular team. Kebell has already revealed earlier that his version is "bright" and is "trying to make people proud" which is quite different from the A-list Big Baddie that the comic book fans have come to know. Despite this, his character would still evidently bring great threat to the supers.

"Fantastic Four" co-stars Miles Teller, Michael B Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Ben Grimm (The Thing), respectively. Helmed by "Chronicle" director Josh Trank, the superhero flick opens in theaters on August 7.
