The new promo images that were put up online features a new Pokémon which will reportedly be introduced in the ending credits of the highly anticipated "Pokémon XY Movie: Hoopa & the Clash of Ages". It was reportedly snapped from the third "Pokémon XY" film which will reportedly open in summer 2016.
The Japanese Manga Magazine, CoroCoro, has recently released its latest issue, featuring images of a speculated new Pokémon. As per Nintendo Insider's report it shows a mysterious creature looming in the darkness before lightness illuminates its presence. According to a Nintento Insider report, the shadowed Pokémon has three glowing eyes on its face, similar to Hoopa in its unbound form, only without the horns. As seen on the picture, the mysterious towering silhouette was featured with a caption: "Is this a new Pokémon?"
The photos were reportedly snapped from the trailer of the third "Pokemon XY" film which is shown after the credits roll in "Pokémon XY Movie: Hoopa & the Clash of Ages". Christian Today reports that the new entity may have a connection from what happened to the second XY Film, considering the scanned background images which are noted to be from the Hoopa movie.
Meanwhile, "Pokémon XY Movie: Hoopa & the Clash of Ages" has premiered on Japan over the weekend, featuring the main cast of "Pocket Monsters XY", Legendary Pokémon from past generations, and movie-original characters. As per the film's synopsis, it follows Ash and his group to a desert city by the sea where they encounter a mythical Pokémon called Hoopa. The new creature is capable of summoning things -including people and other Pokémon -through its magic rings.
It stars Tatsuya Fujiwara as Balza, Shinichi Shinohara (Olympic judo athlete) as Hipopotasu, Shoko Nakagawa as Mary, Kouichi Yamadera as Hoopa Unbound, and Mizuki Yamamoto as the Narrator for the Pikachu to Pokémon Ongakutai short.
"Pokémon XY Movie: Hoopa & the Clash of Ages" will be followed by a third "Pokémon XY" movie which is slated to premiere on summer next year.
