Episode 4 had a plot twist with a 10 minute shootout to bring the suspect in the Ben Caspere murder case down. The suspect is dead but it looks like the case is far from being over, DNA India recaps.
'True Detective' Season 2, Episode 5 'Other Lives' dropped tons of new information. The Wall Street Journal notes that the said episode jumps ahead by more than two months. Viewers saw Ray has given up the force and chose to work for Frank, while Frank himself returns to the crime business. Ani Bezzerides, on the other hand, is working the evidence room and is undergoing group counseling for sexual harrassment, where she is the only woman in a room full of sexist pigs. Meanwhile, Paul continues creating plan to get married, but he's stuck doing insurance fraud work.
What's more interesting in Episode 5 is the last scene where Ray shows up to Frank's house, bangs on the door and gives him the most dreadful look.
Carter Matt reports that Ray and Frank are going to be in the middle of violent standoff when the former feels that the latter was involved in helping to set him up in a terrible situation.
Meanwhile, Ani is going to be doing her part to get someone close to her involved in an operation. She is going to undercover at a sex party and taking in "a colossal orgy sequence" to find more answers and evidences.

According to reports, episode 5 was so far the best episode in the current season. Thus, things are getting more exciting as 'True Detective' season 2 is nearing the finale.
