Fans of the highly anticipated "Batman: Arkham Knight" had a hard time playing the game particularly the PC version. To address the game issues, developer Rocksteady will be releasing a patch in August that will fix perfomance problems.
Gamers who bought the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" experienced several performance problems such as frame-rate issues and resolution bugs. According to Digital Spy, the game's publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has announced via Steam that an interim patch will be released in August. No details as on the exact date that the patch will be released, as well as the details of the game improvements.
Although Warner Bros. had reportedly revealed some of the fixes in a previous report, stated Gamerant. The patch will supposedly include a support for frame rates higher than 30, a fix for the low-resolution texture bug, and a full screen rendering bug that was troubling gaming laptops. The August patch will also allow PC players more graphics setting options that will help mid-tier gaming rigs run a little better.
Despite the anticipated August patch, players of the "Batman: Arkham Knight" PC version are thinking that next month's fix will only be an interim patch. Rumors have been spreading that the PC version will not be fixed until September, Polygon reported. An internal EB Games memo obtained by Kotaku Australia states that "latest information from Warner Bros." indicates "that updates won't be available until Spring." This is in connection with EB Games' decision to pull out PC versions of the game until the developer Rocksteady has provided an acceptable fix for the "Batman: Arkham Knight" game. Do take note that Spring in Australia starts in September 1.
Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One gamers did not encounter any issues for "Batman: Arkham Knight." Based on IGN U.K.'s review, the expanded world of "Arkham Knight" provided players with more opportunities to try Batman's new powerful moves and a few upgraded gadgets. An example is the upgraded grapnel that allows for faster cape gliding.
Another exciting enhancement to the game is a fully playable Batmobile. Batman's iconic car also operates on remote-control and is a great tool to be used while solving and completing the various puzzles in the game. Tank battles are also fun given the Batmobile's inventory of EMPs and missile barrages. This adds an exciting and refreshing switch in gameplay for "Batman: Arkham Knight." It ensures that players won't get bored or tired doing the same thing in the game.
PC players are hoping the next month's patch will finally allow them to enjoy the reportedly amazing gameplay that other platform gamers have been enjoying. "Batman: Arkham Knight" was released on June 23 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
