With the previous installment dated 2006, Gears of War Ultimate Edition has done quite paradoxically as seen on the beta version and rumors spreading. The real deal however, is yet to be announced definitely. The updates of the game for the moment are to be discussed further, care of the developers, Epic Games.
The distinct change given to Gears of War Ultimate Edition is the illumination, resembling some of the good quality seen on the previous installment. Players can direct their attention to the water illustrations in the game, wherein seemingly the sea/ocean waves crash rather realistically over each other, and this itself, would be good enough as basis for the detailing of the game. Next-gen consoles such as the Xbox One will allow the game to load faster, thus, the graphics will be more than fitting.
Eurogamer stated more on the wonderful bits that are included in the beta thus far. Reflections on the water puddles are extremely thorough, as well as the quality of the shadows. The higher resolution of the maps allow this particular beauty to come about. Moreover, the menu selections have a much more amped resolution alongside the other in-game improvements.
Unreal Engine 3's full capacity however, may not be completely included in the particular beta version, starting off with the removal of the motion blur. The Xbox 360 patch of Gears of War basically had the implemented feature, with a more improved version for Gears of War 3. It would be safe to assume that this is only for the beta, or not as a whole for Gears of War Ultimate Edition. More leaks have been exposed on Game Rant.
To note a few of the downsides of the franchise, the gameplay for the moment is highly questionable. Torn frames were an issue to gamers who managed to test the game, promising the 60 frame per second mark, which is not quite as appealing as expected by most.
More frame tears are said to occur whenever flashy or environmental factors come about such as smoke screens or explosions. IGN further reports on the game details, as well as other notable information that fans will be more than interested to hear.
The beta of Gears of War Ultimate Edition may be a question mark to people as of now, but with the release date being a month away on August 25, 2015, Epic Games have yet to enlighten gamers with their promises.
