The tournament footage themselves are impressive to watch. Rounds see-saw from one player to another without hesitation. The games are high octane, with so much energy and impressive gameplay. Check out the full coverage of all the grand final matches at the EVO 2015 official YouTube channel.
In a huge open world competetive tournament like EVO 2015, it's certainly a good thing that the matches are wholeheartedly played well. The competition rarely extends outside of the virtual playing field. Kotaku's account of the grand finals match between Gamerbee and Momochi is a prime example of healthy competition between two players that believe in good natured sportsmanship, even in technical situations where one player gets an opportunity for advantage over the other.
EVO 2015 is certainly a good year for competetive gaming in the world of esports. Here's to hoping next year will turn out just as well.
