Israeli actress Gal Gadot admits rejecting traditional romance films before getting the role of "Wonder Woman". For the first time, "Wonder Woman" will be the first superhero film to be directed also by a woman.
SUPER WOMAN
Speaking in an interview, Gal Gadot admitted that she did not expect she would get the role of "Wonder Woman", reports Inquistr. This after she declined to do offers for the usual romantic movies wherein the girl is usually heartbroken and a guy comes to mend her heart. Gadot says she wanted to show the tough side of women and "Wonder Woman" would be a perfect role for that. The 30 year old actress and mom of one earlier said that she wanted to inspire people, especially women, in the roles she takes and she is glad to be able to do that with her recent superhero movie. Gadot added that she chooses roles that her daughter could relate to or get a lesson from when the latter grows up.
WOMAN POWER
Meanwhile, another woman is making waves in the movie industry. Patty Jenkins is the first woman who will direct a superhero film replacing Michelle MacLaren. This is Warner Brothers' answer to feedback from people that women are not given the chance to do superhero movies.
As to feedbacks that Gal Gadot is not suited for the role of Wonder Woman, IGN says Gadot responded by saying that she cannot please everyone and it is normal for people to always have something to say, be it negative or positive. Gadot does not have anything against these comments saying that it is part of her job.
Recently, Gal Gadot exposed her sexy figure as she posed in a sexy lingerie, as reported by Daily Mail. The actress stressed though that "Wonder Woman" is not all about beauty and body but a woman who exudes strength.
Gal Gadot can be seen in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" before her stand alone film "Wonder Woman" which is coming in theatres soon.
