Lionsgate has finally revealed the full-length trailer for the highly anticipated "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2", featuring the half-human, half-lizard-like sewer monsters. The final chapter of Katniss' fight for freedom and justice concludes this November 20.
After weeks of seeing only tiny bits of Katniss Everdeen's revolutionary march to Panem, the fans have finally gotten their long-awaited full-length trailer for the last "Hunger Games" film. Last week, Lionsgate released a nearly 3-minute "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" teaser, featuring President Snow's deadly traps planted around the capitol. One of which are the dangerous reptilian mutts lying in wait in the sewers of the city.
As seen on the trailer, Snow has rigged the entire Capitol as a Hunger Games substitute. Apart from planting bombs in every corner of the city, he has also placed half-human, half-lizard creatures in the underground canals to daunt the rebels. Finnick and Katniss were featured in the video, fighting these creatures as they attempt to enter the city. According to Entertainment Weekly, Katniss has described these beings in the book as something "white, tight reptilian skin smeared with gore, clawed hands and feet, their faces a mess of conflicting features."
Based on Suzzane Collins' best-selling book series, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is directed by . It stars Jennifer Lawrence ("X-Men: Days of the Future Past"), Josh Hutcherson ("Journey 2 The Mysterious Island"), Liam Hemsworth ("Paranoia"), Sam Claflin ("Love Rosie"), Woody Harrelson ("Now You See Me"), Elizabeth Banks ("Pitch Perfect 2"), Julianne Moore ("Still Alice"), Philip Seymour Hoffman ("The Master") and Donald Sutherland ("Pride & Prejudice").
Following Hollywood's habit of squeezing every ounce of drama from book franchises, the helmers have broken "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" into 2 parts. The first part premiered last year while the second one is slated to open in cinemas later this year, on November 19.
