"Agents of SHIELD" adds another agent as Andrew Howard lands a major role in the series. Information about his character remains scarce but he could be a possible rival of Agent Coulson. Meanwhile, Chloe Bennet decided to chop her hair in preparation for her Daisy Johnson role.
"Bates Motel" star Andrew Howard jumps aboard the Marvel series, which will be entering its third season this September. He will play Banks, which Deadline briefly described as "authoritative and intimidating agent."
Howard's character does not have a comics counterpart so it is still uncertain if he will be an ally to Coulson's team or not. However, with that kind of description, he could rival Clark Gregg's character as the SHIELD's director. He could also bring tension in the formation of the Secret Warriors to be led by Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson.
Speaking of Daisy Johnson, Bennet recently revealed her new hairstyle via Instagram, reports Screen Rant. One of the biggest changes during the last season of "Agents of SHIELD" was Skye's transformation as Daisy Johnson a.k.a Quake. Bennet's new character required her to get a new 'do to look more like her comics counterpart.
Bennet's new look gained mixed reactions since her hair, though obviously shorter, is still a little longer than Quake's hair in the comics. The actress admitted that it was not easy for her to cut her hair for the role but decided to compromise.
"The comic book version of Daisy Johnson has very short, Miley Cyrus-esque hair. We wanted to stay true to the comic book character fans love," Bennet said.
She added, "I wanted to please them but also make sure there was still some movement and length and sexiness in the hair."
Aside agent Banks and Chloe Bennet's new look, fans of ABC's hit series should watch out for Agent Ward as he becomes more terrifying in the upcoming season.
"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 will see the intimidating agent Banks, played by Andrew Howard, the new look of Chloe Bennet as Quake, and the transformation of agent Ward as the new big baddie of the series.
