The game developers over at Blizzard Entertainment have been busy! The company has announced that they will be releasing the latest expansion to "Hearthstone" titled "The Grand Tournament" next month, which will feature a new "Inspire" mechanic and keyword, as well as introduce 132 new cards.
The "Inspire" ability, to be added to "Hearthstone: The Grand Tournament," will enhance the abilities of minions once a player activates a Hero Power, PC Gamer reported. "Inspire" will affect all friendly minions on the board that has the "Inspire" keyword. Once triggered, the ability will enhance the minions stats, attract additional allies and many more. The ability can also "inspire" Argent Watchman to "take flight and take the fight to your foes," according to the game's website.
Meanwhile, a massive 132 card collection will also be introduced to "Hearthstone" next month that is set to shake things up significantly. IGN even featured two new "Grand Tournament" cards namely the "Savage Combatant" which is a rare 5/4 Beast Druid class card that gives the player's hero "+2 attack this turn" and the "Clockwork Knight" card that is a 5/5 Mech with the Battlecry: "Give a friendly Mech +1/+1."
Blizzard has been revealing some of the 132 cards via their website and even allowed gamers the chance to vote for the next card to be unveiled. The cards itself are beautifully rendered and featured some interesting ability additions to the game, such as the 6/6 Dragon "Coldarra Drake" which enables the player to use the "Hero Power any number of times." The 3/4 "Eydis Darkbane" card which, whenever targeted with a spell, deals 3 damage to a random enemy. There's also the 9/7 "North Sea Kraken" card that deals 4 damage, while the 2/3 "Garrison Commander" will allow players to use Hero Power twice a turn. "Hearthstone" fanatics may already pre-purchase a 50 "Grand Tournament" card pack bundle for $49.99 until the expansion's official launch. "Hearthstone: The Grand Tournament" will be released in August for PC, Mac and mobile devices.
