Boruto: Naruto the Movie is soon to hit theaters in Japan, and will also soon be released in US theaters later this year. The movie to be released in 80 cities around United States, in original Japanese voice work.
Japan will soon get to watch the Boruto: Naruto the Movie in the big screen and according to Christian Today, the viewers will be receiving a copy of the Official Movie Book. The book is said to be a freebie and will contain a new story that was not included in the manga. Aside from that, the book will also reportedly include the final 700th chapter in the series.
Meanwhile, aside from Japan, US fans will also get to see the movie soon as Viz Media, along with Eleven Arts will distribute the movie all across America. According to Ign, the movie will be released in more than 80 cities, including New York, San Diego, Houston, Dallas, and may others. It will reportedly be released in Japanese version with English subtitles.
According to Latin Times, the movie will center on Naruto's son, Boruto who wishes to overcome his father's achievements. After Naruto fulfilled his dream of becoming the Hokage, he now needs to protect the Hidden Leaf Village from the evils that lurk around. Resenting his father's responsibilities, Boruto will reportedly be taken by Sasuke under his wing.
Evil villains Momoshiki, and Kinshiki will also shake things up, and might even cause the father and son's separation. "With Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, the Hidden Leaf Village plans to host the Chunin Exams to train new shinobi from the village and from their allied villages. Among the entrants are Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, Mitsuki, an exceptionally talented yet mysterious shinobi... and Boruto, Naruto's talented but impetuous son.
Meanwhile, Sasuke who's been on a mission in another dimension appears before Naruto to warn of a strange impending danger. Shrouded with an evil aura, Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear and attempt to assassinate Naruto. Petrified, Boruto is shielded by Naruto, only to disappear in front of Boruto's own eyes!" the story as described by Viz Media (via Latin Times).
Boruto: Naruto the movie is directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita, with screenplay, character design, and executive producer credits to be given to series creator, Masashi Kishimoto. Ukyou Kodachi also worked on the movie's screenplay. It will soon be released in US theaters beginning October 10, 2015.
