Demi Lovato has a new pal joining the casts of a Montreal animated musical comedy play "Charming." Apart from Ashley Tisdale who plays as Cinderella and Chinese pop star G.E.M. (Gloria Tang Tsz-kei) portraying as Sleeping Beauty, Avril Lavigne will be completing the fantasy Royal beauties as Snow White.
The "Heart Attack" hitmaker will be playing the significant part of Lenore and as the executive producer of the film's music score, Ew.com reports.
The "Fly" singer, 30, shared a teaser to Instagram to let her 1.7 million followers know about her future stage performance. Lavigne, who maintained a low-profile for a year after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, wrote:
"Hey guys! If you don't know, now you know! Officially announcing: I'm #SNOWWHITE in the upcoming animated feature #CHARMING! (@CharmingMovie)."
Another Instagram post was captioned "Triple Trouble! SO excited to join my girls @ddlovato & @AshleyTisdale in @CharmingMovie!! It's gonna be a BLAST! You guys ready!?"
Her upcoming stage play is a dream comes true for the "Hello Kitty" singer who once shared that her next goal is acting.
"My next goal in life is moviemaking! I want to act in a Christmas movie, horror film, comedy, and more," the singer said. "After music, art, acting, and fashion design are my passions," according to the previous reports of Venture Capital Post.
"Charming" is all about the fairy tale stories of the famous Royal princesses, Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. However, in the story gave a different twist after the three princesses fell in love with one Prince Charming.
The animated comedy "Charming" was written, produced and directed by Ross Venokur, the same director of the CG-animated film Animal Crackerz, which stars John Leguizamo, Will Forte and John Cleese. The animated stage play is under 3QU Media Production of a Vanguard Animation film in collaboration with WVE. It is presently in production at Cinesite's new animation studio in Montreal.
