Latest 'Gotham' season 2 spoilers reveal that another super villain is coming to town. He will be joining the so called 'The Rise of The Villains' season. Leo Fitzpatrick is reportedly playing the role of an arsonist named Joe Pike. Next season will also see the aftermath of certain events in Season 1 such as Bruce and Alfred discovering the cave and Barbara's psychosis.
'Gotham' season 2 premieres in the fall with lots of baddies. In fact, the network has been teasing the season as 'The Rise of the Villains' so it's enough to include numerous villains next season until everyone cares.
And it was recently reported that the show is adding another villain. According to Deadline, actor Leo Fitzpatrick will be playing the role of Joe Pike, a man who has a penchant for deliberately starting fires. He leads a gang known as the Pike Brothers.
It was also known that Fitzpatrick's character Joe Pike is created solely for the series, unlike the iconic Batman villains like Penguin, Catwoman and the Joker. While he is not known in the comics, International Business Times noted that he has appeared in the comics using different identities. And he turns out to be connected to the other villains.
Another villain that was made for the series is Fish Mooney, which is played by Jada Pinkett-Smith. Mooney has met her demise during 'Gotham' season 1 finale. Several other villains like The Ogre have the same fate.
Meanwhile, 'Gotham' season 2 newly released featurettes show Erin Richards, who plays Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee & David Mazouz who play Alfred & Brue Wayne recap what happened with their characters in season one of Gotham.
According to Comic Book, the featurettes have revealed the aftermath of certain events such as Bruce and Alfred discovering the cave, and Barbara's psychosis. And they also teased that Barbara "still has darker, deeper places to go".
