Minecraft Windows 10 Edition BETA 0.12.2.0 Rolls Out with Plethora of Bug Fixes; Mojang Confirms to Release New Features in Fall

Popular sandbox game developer Mojang has rolled out the latest Minecraft Edition Beta 0.12.2.0 version for Windows 10 OS bringing in plethora of new features and bug fixes. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Minecraft Story Mode co-developed by Telltale Games is to be released soon.

The latest Minecraft Edition BETA 0.12.2.0 For Windows 10 is offering tons of added features as well as fixes on some game issues and bugs.

Via Neuro Gadget, the full list of the said features and bug fixes that come with the 0.12.2.0 version of Minecraft Edition BETA for Windows 10 are as follows:

  • Minecarts will no longer disappear when you enter the nether
  • The "Repopulation" achievement has been fixed
  • Squid is now able to be pulled with a fishing rod
  • You can now import the saved creative worlds to the trial version
  • Nether brick slab can now be crafted
  • While on a boat, you can keep chatting
  • Fixed spawning and respawning in the flat worlds and Nether
  • You can now mine emerald only with the correct pickaxe types
  • Custom skins tab has been fixed
  • The enchanted books now come with enchantment names
  • The scenario where writing signs will cause the game to instantly crash has been fixed
  • Issues with the furnaces and chests that were not working have been fixed
  • Audio file fixes
  • Fixes crashes for players with non-ASCII character names
  • The world progress saved game issue has been fixed

Meanwhile, Uber Gizmo reports that Mojang has been hard at work on the new Windows 10 edition for Minecraft. So far, the developer has offered plenty of bug fixes and addition of new features while more patches are expected to hit PC soon. It has been a couple of weeks since the official public launching of Microsoft Windows 10 OS and with this fresh update, gamers can now play this massively popular sandbox game for free on their PC.

In related news, the story mode for Minecraft which is co-developed by Telltale Games behind the the Game of Thrones video game is making progress and will be releasing soon.

The Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta is available at the moment and fans are still waiting for an official release date to be announced. Although Mojang has not delve into the details, the developer has announced at Microsoft's Gamescom keynote last week that a set of new features will be expectedly launched to the game's new version this fall.
