"Chicago P.D." Season 3 will be focusing on the aftermath or Detective Erin Lindsay's resignation from the precinct but according to new reports, she might be coming back for her job as someone has been kidnapped. Other reports about what to expect in the upcoming episode of the show is about Voight and someone coming back from his past.
In a report by Fashion & Style, actress Sophia Bush's character Erin Lindsay might decide to get back to work as a fellow detective will be kidnapped. However, this will not be happening early in the season as she will be featured reflecting on her life. Lindsay's mother will be reappearing this upcoming season as Lindsay will be living with her again and would think that it is where she belonged in the first place, which will make her be in a dark place for a longer period of time.
Lindsay quit her job as her mother pushed her to do it. According to the show's producer, Matt Olmstead, fans of "Chicago P.D." will see Lindsay being consumed by the loss of her close friend Nadia. He shared, "The enormity of the loss and what she's going through might make it real easy to go over to the other the side of the tracks and start having drinks with her mom." The third season of the show will not have any time jumps as it will pick up right where season 2 ended. The first episode for Season 3 is entitled "Life is Fluid," Christian Post reported.
Other spoilers released for "Chicago P.D." Season 3 includes a new character, who is associated to Voight. This character is said to be confronted by Voight as he is from his shady past. Voight is known as the cop who wants justice served but does it differently and this is linked to the new character to be introduced. Voight will be having a face-to-face confrontation from an ex-convict he tried to put away in the past, Carter Matt reported.
Will Erin really be back as a detective? How will Voight react upon seeing an old enemy from the past? "Chicago PD" returns for Season 3 on Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
