"Man of Steel 2" will hopefully become a smashing hit as it is said to be directed by "Mad Max: Fury Road" director George Miller. Warner Bros. is expecting a different kind of twist without losing the essence of the Man of Tomorrow.
SlashFilm reports that John Schnepp guested in "Popcorn Talk" which is a DC movie News show. He then gave information that the "Man of Steel 2" film will most likely be directed by George Miller. This movie is a sequel for the Superman remake in 2013 which was directed by Zack Snyder. Schnepp is the director for "The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?" documentary. Miller on the other hand is the director of "Mad Max: Fury Road." The latter was not necessarily quite a smash hit but did really well.
Conversely, AV Club gives more background on some of George Miller's previous films and his background. The "Happy Feet" Series and the is reportedly currently going to work for "Babe 3: This Time, Nothing But Nightmares." He was also previously assigned to do the "Justice League" movie in 2007 but Warner Bros allegedly pulled the rug from under him. This is apparently Miller's second chance to finally be able to prove his capability in making this fly.
Also, Comic Book states that there is no finality as to where Jon Schnepp got the information that George Miller will be taking over for Zack Snyder in "Man of Steel 2." The success of "Mad Max: Fury Road" might have caught the attention of Warner Bros. Snyder might also be loaded enough already with the "Justice League" movie and is unable to accommodate the current film. The report also sees it as probably a redress deal with Miller for the 2007 incident. As of press time, Miller has not confirmed nor commented about him directing the next installment of "Man of Steel."
Warner Bros will see to it that "Man of Steel 2" will definitely be the next box office film, thus they want to get the best director to helm the said film. George Miller would certainly materialize the goal of the studio.
